Inter-College Volleyball Tournament 2026

The inter-college volleyball competition was inaugurated by the Comilla Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board with the theme “Building a country through sports skills, a Bangladesh without discrimination”.

On Saturday (April 18) morning, the competition was inaugurated by the Chairman of the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Professor Md. Shamsul Islam, at the Comilla Education Board Model Government College ground.

A total of 211 students from 20 colleges of the Comilla Education Board’s Sudharam and Mainamati regions participated in the competition.

Speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony, Chairman Professor Md. Shamsul Islam said that sports play an important role in the physical and mental development of students. He told the students, “You are the future of Bangladesh, to develop yourself, you must give equal importance to sports as well as education.”

The ceremony was presided over by the Principal of the Comilla Education Board Model Government College, Mohammad Abul Hossain, and the Deputy Secretary (Administration) of the Education Board, Md. Masum Millat Majumdar, was present as a special guest. The board's assistant sports officer Md. Sayem Mia gave the welcome speech.

The prize distribution ceremony was held on the same day in the afternoon after the competition. Principal Mohammad Abul Hossain and assistant sports officer Md. Sayem Mia presented the prizes and certificates to the winners.

The program was hosted by Abul Hasnat Babul and Badrul Huda Jenu. The chief guest announced the official opening of the competition by releasing balloons.
